Evans, Fofana, Vardy - Leicester City injury news ahead of Manchester United clash

Leicester City seem to be getting through the worst of their injury crisis as they start to welcome players back to action.

Last week saw the return of three defenders in Wesley Fofana, Timothy Castagne and Jonny Evans. Fofana made a goalscoring comeback by playing 70 minutes of the clash against Rennes, while Castagne was also on the scoresheet in the Premier League clash vs Brentford as Evans was a second-half substitute.

There was an injury blow though as Brendan Rodgers revealed that midfielder Wilfred Ndidi could miss the rest of the season with a knee injury. The Nigerian picked up the problem during the Europa Conference League second leg against Rennes last week.

The international break gives players the chance to step up their recovery from injury ahead of the Premier League clash against Man United. City host Dutch side PSV Eindhoven in their Europa Conference League quarter final first leg a few days after the trip to Old Trafford.

While things are starting to look better on the injury front, there are still a number of players in the treatment room. Here is a roundup of the latest as City hope to welcome back some more players after the international break.

The defender made his comeback as a second-half substitute in the 2-1 win over Brentford at the weekend. His return to action led to a late call-up to the Northern Ireland squad, where it was agreed that he will play just one of the two friendlies in managing his minutes.

Evans started Friday night's clash vs Luxembourg and lasted 63 minutes before being taken off. It seems that the centre-back came through unscathed and will now return to City to step up preparations for the Premier League clash vs Manchester United after the international break.
