Four deals Manchester United could complete this week amid Bruno Fernandes transfer links

Manchester United's summer transfer window is officially underway following the arrival of Matheus Cunha.

United are set to be linked with several potential new signings over the next few months, with Cunha now the third addition to the squad since Ruben Amorim's arrival. United agreed to pay the £62.5million release clause in Cunha's contract to bring the Brazilian to Old Trafford.

The summer transfer window opened on Sunday, giving United just 10 days to complete their business before it slams shut once again. The window is open until June 10 due to the FIFA Club World Cup and will reopen on June 16 for the rest of the summer.

With Cunha's signing now confirmed, the Old Trafford hierarchy will now focus their attention on the remaining transfer business that needs to be addressed. Some of this will involve bringing new signings to the club, while others will involve negotiations for players to depart.

The next week gives United the opportunity to steal a march on their rivals by getting some of their transfer business completed well before the start of pre-season. There are already rumours about players who United could sign following the arrival of Cunha.

A new striker is rumoured to be of interest to United this summer, with several names being mentioned. The last couple of weeks has seen Napoli's Victor Osimhen and Sporting Lisbon's Viktor Gyokeres mentioned as potential targets.

It was only last summer that United brought Joshua Zirkzee to Old Trafford from Bologna, while Rasmus Hojlund was signed a year earlier in 2023. United would likely only want to sign one new striker, meaning it would have to be a choice of either Osimhen or Gyokeres if it turns out to be true that the duo are targets.
