Bryan Mbeumo signs, Viktor Gyokeres deal - Man United dream transfer window as deadline passed

Manchester United will have to wait a few days before being able to resume their transfer business for the summer.

The first phase of the summer window is now closed, meaning United are not officially able to get deals over the line. The transfer window was open from June 1-10 thanks to the FIFA Club World Cup this summer.

United have already got one deal over the line with Matheus Cunha arriving in a £62.5million move from Wolves. The Brazilian is not the only player to be linked with a move to United, though, but that will have to wait for later in the summer.

The transfer window will open again on June 16 and will remain so until it closes on September 1 until the New Year. For the time being, United have an opportunity to take stock and weigh up what deals they want to complete when the window reopens once again.

It won't just be new signings that United will be focused on this summer, but also players who could leave the club.

United will want to raise funds via player sales in order to reinvest in the squad ahead of next season. Marcus Rashford, Antony and Jadon Sancho all spent time away from Old Trafford on loan last season and could all leave on permanent deals this summer.

Alejandro Garnacho also looks increasingly likely to leave United based on some of the latest reports. Plus, the Manchester Evening News reported last month that United could allow the Argentina international to leave if the right offer was submitted.

Rasmus Hojlund could also leave United this summer amid reported interest from Serie A outfit and Champions League finalists Inter Milan.
