Former Manchester United winger Nani to return to Europe after securing transfer

Former Manchester United winger Nani has signed for Turkish side Adana Demirspor.

The winger was most recently at Australian side Melbourne Victory but only managed to make 10 appearances for the club after rupturing his anterior cruciate ligament. He's now returned to Turkey for a second stint.

Nani played for Fenerbahce in the 2015/16 season and will now team up with Dutch icon Patrick Kluivert, who manages the Super Lig side. Ex-Napoli and Leicester City midfielder Gokhan Inler is the club's captain and they also boast notable names from around Europe such as Benjamin Stambouli, Younes Belhanda, Jonas Svensson, and Kevin Rodrigues within their ranks.

He took to Twitter on Thursday to reveal his latest move. “Very happy to be back in Turkey, representing @AdsKulubu! I’m ready to give my all for this club. Let’s get to work!" he wrote.

Nani won the Players' Player of the Year award and was included in the PFA Team of the Year in the 2010-11 season as United lifted the league title. Supporters will also remember his assist for Wayne Rooney's spectacular overhead kick in the Manchester Derby.

Since his departure from Old Trafford, he has also played for Valencia, Lazio and Orlando City in Major League Soccer. His return to Turkey will be his first season in Europe since leaving Venezia last year.
