Fiorentina 'make Sofyan Amrabat transfer decision' amid Man United interest and more rumours

Fiorentina want Sofyan Amrabat to have his future decided by this coming Friday, according to reports.

United have completed their major business this summer with the signings of Mason Mount, Andre Onana and Rasmus Hojlund but remain open to adding a new midfielder to their ranks. Fred was sold to Fenerbahce earlier this month and the need for a midfielder has been made more urgent with the news that Mason Mount has joined Kobbie Mainoo on the sidelines.

That leaves Casemiro, Christian Eriksen and Scott McTominay as the midfield options available to Erik ten Hag, with Donny van de Beek not included involved so far this season as he seeks a move away from Old Trafford. MEN Sport understands United are considering a late move for Ryan Gravenberch while they have been open to signing Amrabat throughout the window.

The combative Morrocan has attracted plenty of interest from several clubs this summer but despite his reasonable price tag of £25m no club is yet to make a move. Fiorentina have grown frustrated by the lack of clarity and, according to Corriere dello Sport, via Football Italia, they have 'set a deadline' for close of play on August 25 for Amrabat to decide if he is leaving or not.

It's reported Fiorentina want to avoid having to look for a replacement in the final week of the window and want Amrabat's future resolved as soon as possible. Atletico Madrid and Liverpool have also been linked.
