Ferdi Kadioglu transfer price rockets as Man United set 'meeting' to complete Arsenal 'hijack'

Interest in Fenerbahce and Turkey wing-back Ferdi Kadioglu has ramped up since Euro 2024. The 24-year-old was one of the many players to catch the eye of scouts from his displays in Germany.

Kadioglu helped his nation reach the quarter-final of the tournament with two wins in the group stage and a famous victory over Ralf Rangnick's Austria. Their hopes of setting up a semi-final with England were dashed over the weekend in a narrow defeat to the Netherlands.

Despite leaving the tournament, Kadioglu has come out of it better off. Clubs were showing interest in his signature prior to June, but Fenerbahce are now facing a serious challenge in keeping him.

Newcastle, Arsenal, Brighton and Borussia Dortmund have all been credited with interest in the left-back. However, reports in Turkey have claimed that Manchester United are 'seriously interested' in the Turkey international and are prepared to push for his signature.

Journalist Yagiz Sabuncuoglu has claimed that the Reds are yet to contact Fenerbahce over a possible deal but have set a meeting with Kadioglu's representatives in the coming days.

It has been reported that Fenerbahce want between €30m (£25.3m) for the defender, a deal that would make him their record sale. That figure currently sits at €21m (£17.7m) that Lazio paid for Vedat Muriqi in 2020.
