Man United want £70m star Ruud van Nistelrooy loves as transfer target snubs Liverpool

Manchester United have reportedly agreed personal terms with Manuel Ugarte and are now said to be pursuing another of the Paris-Saint Germain player's teammates.

Talks are said to be taking with the French club over signing the defensive midfielder to partner Kobbie Mainoo in the middle of the park. Gabriel Heinze was the last player to move from Paris to Manchester for a fee - Edinson Cavani and Zlatan Ibrahimovic came on free transfers. But that could all be about to change.

Ugarte could become the first in two decades, pending an agreement with PSG. However, he may not be the last this summer.

L'Equipe claims United are pursuing Xavi Simons, who Ruud van Nistelrooy previously coached at PSV Eindhoven. That existing relationship could prove pivotal as Bayern Munich and RB Leipzig, where the Netherlands international spent last season on loan, are said to be the frontrunners.

The former are even said to have agreed personal terms with the player, per Sky Sports Germany. Simons is not expected to stay at PSG this summer and has previously received interest from the Premier League, with a £42 million offer rejected last summer. The Parisians now seemingly value the attacking midfielder at around £70m.
