Family of teenager allegedly murdered leave court as 'disturbing' footage played to jury
The family of a 17-year-old boy stabbed to death in the street left court before 'disturbing' footage of the attack was played to the jury. Kyle Hackland died after being stabbed four times in Withington last November.
Yousef Sesay, 18, Lewis Ludford, also 18, a 17-year-old boy and a 16-year-old boy, who both cannot be named for legal reasons, are all standing trial at Manchester Crown Court accused of murder. They have pleaded not guilty to that charge. Ludford has pleaded guilty to manslaughter, the jury have heard, but the other defendants also deny that lesser charge.
Prosecutors allege that Mr Hackland was murdered as part of a revenge attack. The jury has heard Mr Sesay was robbed the day before the fatal attack during a drug deal, and blamed Mr Hackland's friend.

The four defendants were in a stolen VW Golf and came across Mr Hackland and his friend on Southlea Road on November 22, the court has heard. Prosecutors said Mr Hackland had nothing to do with the robbery, but that the men were seeking to attack his friend or 'anyone they associated with him'.
Mr Hackland's friend left the area before the attack and Mr Hackland later died from his injuries. On the third day of the trial, jurors heard from Zoe Clough, a civilian officer attached to GMP's Video Evidence Retrieval and Analysis (VERA) unit.
Ms Dawson said officers had obtained footage of the alleged murder, and that she had taken two days to view the clip frame-by-frame to compile a viewing log. The footage also captured audio from the scene.
The trial has heard that prior to the attack someone was heard to say 'what what', as well as 'and you bro and you bro'. "It's him, it's him,"
