FA Cup round-up: Second qualifying round wins for Chatham Town, Ebbsfleet United, Tonbridge Angels, Dartford, Dover Athletic, SE Dons and Sheppey United

Nine Kent clubs will be in Monday’s FA Cup third qualifying round draw.

Among them will be Chatham Town, who reached the first round under manager Kevin Hake last season.

Chats won 1-0 at higher-league Slough in the second qualifying round on Saturday thanks to Jack Lyons’ first-half goal.

National League South Ebbsfleet ensured a winning send-off for departing chief executive Damian Irvine after winning 3-1 at league rivals Maidenhead.

Manager Josh Wright didn’t make as many changes as expected, although there was a first start in Fleet colours for Olly Box after his summer switch from Dartford.

Lennon Peake, one of five changes to the starting XI, opened the scoring just past the half-hour and Finlay Barnes quickly added a second.

Camron Gbadebo made it 3-0 on 77 minutes before Maidenhead pulled one back with seven minutes left through substitute Finley Welch.

Dartford had to come from behind to see off Hayes & Yeading 4-2 at Princes Park despite taking an early lead through player-boss Ben Greenhalgh.

Goals either side of half-time from Amari Fashanu and Kurtis Cumberbatch put Hayes ahead.

But Max Fiddes levelled just past the hour mark before a Jordan Higgs special and Fiddes’ second ensured the hosts progressed.

Two goals in stoppage time saw SE Dons come from 2-1 down to win 3-2 at higher-league Chichester.

Now Crayford-based, Dons are enjoying their debut season in the FA Cup. They led through Joshua Bohui but Lloyd Rowlatt’s swift equaliser meant the teams were level at the break.
