Erik ten Hag's dream Manchester United squad if they complete three more transfers

Manchester United will be looking to hit the ground running when they get their 2023/24 Premier League campaign up and running at home to Wolves next month.

After a successful first season under manager Erik ten Hag's stewardship, United have ambitions of kicking on this forthcoming term and bridging the gap to the likes of Manchester City and Arsenal at the summit. The Reds will also compete in the Champions League again after a season of playing in the Europa League.

Another potentially long and gruelling season lies ahead for Ten Hag and his players, meaning they need to make the most of their preparation time during pre-season. As well as having eight friendlies to play between now and the season opener on August 14, United also have a lot more work to do in the transfer market.

The Reds have added one new face to Ten Hag's squad so far, landing Mason Mount in a £60million deal from Chelsea. He has joined the club on an initial five-year deal.

United, however, are hungry for more, and football director John Murtough is already locked in discussions with Inter Milan and Atalanta respectively to try and sign goalkeeper Andre Onana and striker Rasmus Hojlund. Ten Hag made signing a striker his leading priority this summer and has been forced into targeting a first-choice goalkeeper after David de Gea confirmed his departure on Saturday.
