Erik ten Hag gives Kobbie Mainoo update ahead of Manchester United vs Borussia Dortmund
Erik ten Hag has backed Manchester United youngster Kobbie Mainoo to return stronger than ever after the midfielder picked up an injury in a friendly against Real Madrid that is expected to leave him sidelined for two months.
United's clash against Dortmund in Las Vegas on Sunday is the final leg of the tour of the States and wholesale changes have been made for the game, as the entire starting line-up from the Madrid defeat in Houston has been replaced.
Tom Heaton is set to start in between the sticks, whilst Diogo Dalot, Harry Maguire, Victor Lindelof and Brandon Williams have the responsibility of protecting him against a Dortmund side that almost won the Bundesliga last term.

Ten Hag spoke to MUTV ahead of playing Dortmund in Vegas and after giving his thoughts on the game, he delivered an update on Mainoo. "This is a great stadium, we're playing good opposition and it should be a good game," he said.
"We have to go to our levels because in two weeks we start the league. Every game we play, we must get to the next step. We want to raise the bar this season, we have a way to go, so for this game, we expect the next step.
