Ten Hag on departures

Erik ten Hag will not consider Donny van de Beek or Brandon Williams for selection amid the possibility they could leave Manchester United before the transfer window closes on September 1.

The duo were absent from the second successive matchday squad for the 2-0 defeat at Tottenham, where Ten Hag named two goalkeepers among United's nine substitutes.

Harry Maguire was unavailable with a minor injury he sustained in United's final training session on Friday but Ten Hag conceded Van de Beek and Williams are not free from distraction as they mull over their futures.

"Yesterday, the final training, 'H' fell out with a small issue and after September 1 everything can change, but we need players who are totally with their heads in our team," Ten Hag said. "And, I wouldn't say the players you just mentioned, they are not, but it's also obvious in this moment they are looking for something else."

Keane rant

Roy Keane tore into the Manchester United players after Saturday's 2-0 defeat at Tottenham, accusing them of lacking fight and desire away from home.

United were beaten at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium with the home side dominating the second half and scoring twice in the process. Pape Sarr fired home the opener four minutes after the break, with Lisandro Martinez stabbing an effort into his own net close to full-time.
