Terrifying Celtic fan pyro incident sparks major reaction as James Dornan MSP asks for Government intervention

Glasgow MSP James Dornan has issued a 'loss to life' concern as he reacted to a terrifying moment involving a Celtic fan and pyro at Easter Road.

Shock footage emerged online of a Hoops supporter with his hair on FIRE during Wednesday night's clash in the capital after the large group of travelling fans put on a huge display behind the goal in Leith. Brendan Rodgers' men grabbed a last-gasp victory thanks to Adam Idah's second penalty of the night to secure a huge three points as Rangers continue to push Celtic at the top of the Premiership table.

TV footage and images from the match showed the South Stand engulfed in smoke with flares set off as the two sets of players emerged from the tunnel for the midweek battle under the lights. The clip online shows the supporter frantically trying to put the flame on his head out. The latest incident has SNP MSP Dornan calling on the Scottish Government to intervene before a fatal incident occurs while he's also hoping that the 'unfortunate and potentially disastrous incident' will push the football governing football body to start dealing with the issue.

The use of pyrotechnics is becoming more and more apparent in Scottish football grounds with Record Sport recently inviting fans to participate in a poll with questions surrounding them, and our respondents were wholly AGAINST them.

Dornan commented: "I have been asking for the issue of pyrotechnics to be taken more seriously in Scottish football grounds for some time now. Maybe this extremely unfortunate and potentially disastrous incident will shake up the footballing authorities to deal with it, although to date they’ve shown no real desire to do so.
