Elden Ring: How to beat the Elden Beast, the final boss in the game

Elden Ring is a gigantic game with an immense amount of boss battles littered across the Lands Between but one question remains: How do you beat the final boss in the game?

That would be the Elden Beast, which is the final hurdle for you to jump over as you prepare to become the Elden Lord and watch the credits roll.

Of course, the ending you get depends on a number of factors, including the choices you’ve made and the questlines you’ve completed.

It may be that you have simply mainlined it by following the path set out by each site of grace, or you might be coming into the fight after over 100 hours of exploration, levelling up, and killing optional bosses.

Either way, the final two bosses are Radagon of the Golden Order and the Elden Beast.

We’ve put together a guide on Radagon and how to beat him, and we mentioned in that guide that you will have to go straight from that fight into the battle with the Elden Beast.

It means that, if you’ve dropped your health to the kind of level where one hit will kill you, you can’t refresh it. Keep some flasks so you’ve got some manoeuvrability when it comes to your health in the final battle.

This is a very different fight to the battle with Radagon.

Now, the first few things to remember are as follows: The Elden Beast is resistant to Holy Damage, but he is vulnerable to Scarlet Rot, so that’s something to bear in mind. Using spells is not a sound strategy in this fight so you’ll want to get up close and personal and deal some melee damage.
