Elden Ring has finally arrived and a day one patch has been released by the developers to iron out in-game creases.

Before the majority of gamers across the world have even picked up the all-new fantasy RPG, they know they are in for something truly special following the rave reviews that it has received.

Metacritic provided glowing praise for Elden Ring and is now one of the best ranking games ever on their critique website.

Despite this, FromSoftware are refusing to rest on their laurels and have introduced further gameplay changes and technical adaptations to ensure that Elden Ring runs as smoothly as possible.

A huge swarm of players are expected to flock on this game today when it releases, and the changes listed below are available to download now on all platforms.

FromSoftware shared their implementations via Steam where not a great deal of changes were brought in, but the developers felt it was necessary to introduce them here.

FromSoftware have also noted that ray tracing will not be added during this update and will be introduced during “future announcements” – no timeframes were provided.

They went on to apologise for any convenience caused and recommended that gamers download this patch before playing Elden Ring.
