Elden Ring: Where to find every shield in the game

Elden Ring has a number of amazing weapons that can be used to bring down even the biggest foes, but you won’t go very far without a good shield, so where can they be found?

If you’re utilising melee combat, it is paramount that you have a shield so that you can defend yourself properly, both against the normal enemies in the game and the bosses.

There are effective strategies for you to be able to block and parry your way to victory in these big fights and to pull them off you’re going to need to be able to find the best shield possible.

As a result, we’ve put together a list of every shield in the game and where they can be found in Elden Ring’s vast open world.

There are a number of different ranked shields in the game. You’ll start off by finding small shields, but medium shields and greatshields can also be found.

Blue-White Wooden Shield – Northwest corner of the village south of Raya Lucaria Academy – Strength needed: 8 – No Skill.

Buckler – Bandit class starting shield, sold for 1,000 runes by a Gatekeeper next to Stormveil Castle – Strength needed: 8, Dexterity needed: 13 – Skill: Buckler Parry.

Ice Crest Shield – On a corpse in Caria Manor – Strength needed: 9 – No Skill.

Iron Roundshield – Sold for 900 runes by a merchant at the entrance to Coastal Cave – Strength needed: 8 – No Skill.

Gilded Iron Shield – Found on a corpse in the graveyard next to Church of Pilgrimage – Strength needed: 8 – Skill: Parry.

Rickety Shield – Prophet class starting shield, dropped by shield-wielding demi-humans – Strength needed: 8 – Skill: Parry.
