Ashes of War are a big help to players in the game but what do they do?

In basic terms, they allow the player to unlock new skills, powers, and abilities, when you apply them to certain weapons in the game.

There are a variety of Ashes in the game, and they all have different effects on your weapons, so we thought it best to put together a guide on exactly how they operate.

Ashes of War are, as per Gamesradar, enchantments that you can attach to your weapon.

They can be taken off whenever you get to a site of grace, while you can also apply them to different gear for different effects.

They will usually do one of three things: Raise stats and scaling, lower other stats and scaling, and replace the skill you have equipped with a preset skill.

The Ashes are limited to certain weapons; you can apply certain Ashes to melee weapons and nothing else, others to shields, and so on.

You can equip the Ashes at sites of grace, and there’s a menu option allowing you to manage your ashes. Equipping them, as we’ve said, can alter the stats of your weapons; unequpping returns them to their previous, unaltered state.
