EFL Trophy fixture dates confirmed for Manchester United Under-21s

Manchester United's Under-21s will get their 2023/24 EFL Trophy campaign up and running against Stockport County on Tuesday, August 22, it has been confirmed.

The United youngsters will make the short trip to Edgeley Park to face the League Two side in a 7.30pm kick-off. The Reds were placed into Group E when the group stage draw was made last month and will also face Bolton Wanderers and Salford City, meaning there will not be much travelling involved.

After facing Stockport in their opening game of the tournament, United will travel to the Toughsheet Community Stadium to lock horns with current EFL Trophy holders Bolton on Tuesday, September 26, kick-off 7.45pm. However, should Bolton make it through to the third round of the Carabao Cup, the fixture will take place on Tuesday, October 10 instead.

Bolton will enter the Carabao Cup at the first round stage, meaning they will have to advance through the first two rounds of the competition for their clash with the Reds to be pushed back.
