A signalling fault is causing disruption across the Metrolink network tonight (Monday, July 24). The network-wide issue means are there are currently delays to services on all lines.
There are what as described as 'severe' delays on the Altrincham line with 'moderate' delays on all other lines.

In the city centre trams travelling in both directions between Deansgate-Castlefield and New Islington are affected, as services between Deansgate-Castlefield and East Didsbury, Ashton-under-Lyne and Eccles, Victoria and Manchester Airport, Cornbrook and The Trafford Centre and Victoria and Rochdale town centre.
Some passengers took to social media to vent their frustration claiming they had been left stranded on trams. One said: "Any time scales that you may be able to give? Been on this tram to Altrincham for 45 minutes now."
Another said: "Stuck between Cornbrook and Trafford Bar, can you not even get us to Trafford Bar to get off as no points from where we are?"
