'Dismantled' - Gary Neville questions Erik ten Hag tactics during Manchester United defeat vs Brighton

Gary Neville has questioned Erik ten Hag's decision to deploy a midfield diamond during Saturday's 3-1 defeat at home to Brighton and Hove Albion.

Manchester United were well beaten at Old Trafford, with goals from Danny Welbeck, Pascal Groß and Joao Pedro handing all three points to the away side. Hannibal Mejbri scored his first senior goal for the Reds but it was a mere consolation.

After what looked to be a bright start for United, Roberto De Zerbi's side got a foothold in the game and continually caused problems in wide areas. And Neville has seemingly blamed Ten Hag for deploying such a narrow midfield.

Neville told Sky Sports: "United played a very narrow midfield and once Brighton started to get it onto the right-hand side it was a real problem.
