Four qualities Sofyan Amrabat has brought to Manchester United following deadline day move
Former Manchester United striker Louis Saha has praised the addition of Moroccan international Sofyan Amrabat, outlining four ways he will help improve Erik ten Hag's squad.
Following several weeks of speculation, United signed the defensive-midfielder on transfer deadline day earlier this month. He has joined the club on a season-long loan deal, with United securing the option to sign him on a permanent basis for €20million, plus a further €5m in add-ons.
Amrabat was a stalwart figure for Morocco at last year's World Cup in Qatar helping the African nation reach the semi-finals of the competition but missed Saturday's 3-1 defeat to Brighton & Hove Albion through injury. It remains to be seen if he will be available for Wednesday night's clash with Bayern Munich in the Champions League.

But regardless of when he makes his United debut, he is, in Saha's eyes, an excellent addition to Ten Hag's talent pool, with the Reds having been crying out for an additional defensive-midfielder throughout the summer transfer window. He has the credentials to play alongside Casemiro or on his own at the base of the midfield.
"I really like the profile of the player and we may look at Sofyan as just a defensive-midfielder, but he's capable of bombing forward, creating chances, recovering the ball and he can disrupt the oppositions attack as much as Casemiro can do," Saha told Betfred. "It will be interesting to see how the pair of them play together.
