Dad looks '20 years younger' after finally shaving beard he grew for 21 months

It's no doubt facial hair can truly transform someone's appearance.

While some men relish the rugged look of stubble, others dedicate years to nurturing a full beard using a variety of grooming products. But one dad, after 21 months of cultivating his facial hair, handed over a pair of scissors to his family to chop it all off.

The dad, LoganPetersen, who has an impressive following of 486,000 on Instagram, wrote: "21 months of beard growth, gone in seconds!" The video kicks off with him asking if his children are prepared for the gut-wrenching procedure.

He then entrusts his son with the razor, cautioning him not to damage the prized tresses on top. Within moments, as his wife commences the trim, Logan's discomfort is very much noticeable. He said in the video: "Just go slow, none of this ripping through."

Logan barely utters an "oh my gosh" before questioning his eagerly snipping family. And with his mum's help, Logan's son snips away as he tells him: "Why are you going so fast? Give me time to process."

With one side of his beard shaven, the dad psyches himself up for the remainder of this big change. Yet, not long thereafter, Logan steps in to direct the razor himself. Before completing the transformation, he leaves his moustache and jokes: "Shall I keep it?"

Having shed his hair, Logan looks like a new man with a male voice heard saying: "You're a handsome fella." Since the post went live, fans swarmed the comments to shower praise.

One admirer exclaimed: "20 years younger," which was followed by another fan who chimed in: "You look so much better without the beard." A third added: "Incredible how he looks much much younger without beard."

While a fourth commented: "Wow! So handsome! Don't hide that handsome face
