Coronation Street star Simon Gregson sent praise for his wife from co-stars as he shares proud moment

Coronation Street star Simon Gregson has been flooded with messages about his wife as he shared a proud moment for the pair. For those who don't know the actor's other half Emma Gleave owns her own village tearoom which Simon may sometimes be seen helping out at.

Morley Tearooms, which is part of the Morley Nurseries and garden centre site, is located on the edge of Wilmslow in Cheshire and serves up her home-baked cakes as well as breakfasts and classic lunch items.

Emma, who once starred in Hollyoaks, previously shared with the Manchester Evening News how she gets up at the crack of dawn every morning to bake an array of traditional cakes for the café, before heading to set up and serve up an array of hot and cold dishes and teas and coffees at the tearooms itself.

At the time of her chat with us in May, she shared how Simon, famed for playing Steve McDonald in the ITV soap, had been helping out too, much to the delight of visitors and even his Corrie pals, who pop in for Emma's baked treats. He laughed: "Sometimes when we're busy I'll help out, but Emma doesn't need or want my help really. I've had a few colleagues in and they'll say 'you're not really taking my order are you?' but I do it more as a laugh."

And it appears he's taking some of the credit as he revealed the tearoom had won an award. Posing for a photo alongside Emma as they beamed with their Good Food Award 2023/24 Blue Ribbon, Simon cheekily said: "All the crazy hours and hard work has paid off. Oh and Emma got this award."
