Coronation Street star Joe Duttine has shared whether fans should be worried for Tim Metcalfe as he's attacked by Stephen Reid. The cab driver has never been Stephen's biggest fan and that was made even clearer when he struck up a relationship with his mother, Elaine, and even kidnapped his mum when she planned to marry the businessman.

However, tensions between the pair weren't helped when Elaine discovered that Stephen had taken out a life insurance policy in her name. As viewers knew, Stephe, played by Todd Boyce, had been plotting to kill his fiancée on a trip to the Peak District.

But Stephen's plans hit a stumbling back when Elaine saw Gail Platt's old family photos and saw one of his ex-wife, Gabrielle, who she realised she had caught a glimpse of on a Zoom call but Stpehne had pretended was a business associate.

She ended up confiding in Tim that Stephen was a liar and at the flat broke into the box Stephen had been using to conceal documents. The pair found the forged life insurance paperwork, which Elaine was adamant she had never signed.

When Stephen arrived home, Tim urged his mum to wait at his house, while he stuck around to confront Stephen. But their row ended in violence as, after Tim pinned Stephen to the wall, the latter banged his head on the metal staircase after Tim pushed him Stephen shouted at Tim to leave, which he did, only for Stephen to later collapse in the street with a head injury.

While Tim didn't face repercussions from the police, he has remained critical of Stephen ever since and Corrie viewers will remember
