Coronation Street fans 'want answers' over 'missing' character amid DS Swain claims

Coronation Street fans have said they 'want answers' over a missing character as they targeted the usually much-loved DS Swain. It's all been kicking off in Weatherfield as Peter Barlow was arrested on suspicion of the murder of Stephen Reid.

The cabbie left fans in shock last week when he became a killer as he mowed Stephen down and ended his reign of terror of the cobbles. Corrie fans had been speculating as to how the broke businessman-turned-serial killer would leave after it was confirmed that his crimes would finally catch up with him.

But it'd be fair to say that they weren't expecting Peter to be the one to finish him off in a final twist, moments after he’d set his partner Jenny Connor free from his grasp as he threatened her with a broken bottle in front of his family and neighbours.

During Tuesday night's trip to the cobbles (October 17), viewers saw Peter interviewed by DS Swain and it appears they weren't happy that she was trying to bring Peter down - after failing to listen to his wife Carla Connor's concerns that Stephen had been drugging her with LSD.
