Coronation Street star Charlotte Jordan left in tears after fan's unsuspecting sweet gesture

Coronation Street star Charlotte Jordan was left emotional and completely taken aback after she was alerted to an unsuspected but sweet gesture by a fan. The actress is currently known for playing Daisy Midgeley in the ITV soap.

Charlotte made her debut on the cobbles as Daisy, the former step-daughter of Rovers Return landlady Jenny Connor, at the end of 2020 after landing an audition for the role in the summer of that same year. The soap star and her character have since faced a whole host of big storylines, none more so than the horrifying acid attack last May which saw Daisy attacked by her stalker Justin Rutherford.

But it appears Charlotte's influence as Daisy in the long-running show is spreading far and wide as one fan proved to be a huge fan of her on-screen alter-ego.

While taking part in a question and answer session on her Instagram page, instead of a question, a fan told Charlotte: "PS…I named my daughter Daisy after your Daisy…icon."

The news appeared to take Charlotte by surprise as she replied with a selfie showing tears filling her eyes. Alongside the stunned selfie, she wrote: "‘I am TEARING UP that is so cute I am deceased send me a pic of the lil queen please."

Meanwhile, Charlotte also opened up about how she got into acting and shared a hidden struggle fans will never notice when she's on-screen. It came as the 28-year-old was asked was where she trained to become an actress, to which she replied: "At the school of life. The imposter syndrome runs deep."
