Coronation Street fans issue demand and say 'more please' as Good Morning Britain star gets fresh mention in ITV soap

Coronation Street fans have issued a demand to bosses after a popular Good Morning Britain star got a fresh mention in the soap. There was a rare trip to Weatherfield on Tuesday night (February 13) which saw Liam Connor's heartbreaking bullying hell continue and Billy Mayhew see red when his surprise for husband Paul Foreman was ruined.

But in usual Corrie fashion, there were lighter moments thanks to Mary Taylor, who was thinking ahead to Valentine's Day. Since the loss of her lover Norris Cole back in 2021, the much-loved character, played by Patti Clare, has been without a love interest.

While in the Rovers Return, Mary revealed to barmaid Daisy Midgeley that she shared how she would instead be spending her Valentine’s Day this year crying into her Ben Shephard cushion, with fans aware of Mary's crush on the GMB and Tipping Point presenter.

It came after Mary tried to shoot her shot biker Dewy who had arrived on the cobbles to help Billy with his surprise for Paul. After being impressed by his name, the florist took things one step further as she went on: "Evoking Mother Nature's early morning dew - what could be more enticing!”

Summer Spellman then came to Dewy’s rescue as she chimed in: "Just off to you're girlfriends aren't you Dewy", leaving an awkward and slightly heartbroken Mary to add: "Oh well, let's crack on," as she flashed a cheeky smile at her new crush.

It was then later that she said to Daisy in the pub: "Another lonely Valentine’s evening watching Bridget Jones, eating a box of chocolates for one and.. crying into my Ben
