Coronation Street fans 'work out' Evelyn Plummer twist as co-star's possible exit denied

Coronation Street fans think they have worked out a twist in Evelyn Plummer's latest storyline as she was accused of attacking Terry Fensley. It came as she continued to try and save the puppies she was adamant he had in his possession.

Evelyn, played by Dame Maureen Lipman, has been on to Terry for weeks but her last attempt to see something done didn't go to plan. During Wednesday night's (January 10) trip to the cobbles, viewers saw Evelyn trawling through adverts for puppies when she spotted something familiar.

She enlisted the advice of her daughter, Cassie, as the pair went and continued to try and gather evidence to show police that Terry is mistreating dogs and running an illegal puppy farm. As Cassie managed to discover where Terry was keeping the animals, she was soon left stunned by what she found.

She discovered cages of puppies in his flat but Cassie had to quickly hide when Terry returned home and in a heartbreaking moment, Cassie heard Terry shouting at the innocent puppies. Meanwhile, outside, Evelyn tried to get video footage to send to the authorities but Terry spotted her and ended up destroying her video camera.

Evelyn pleaded for help from a passerby as they got into an altercation and Terry threatened to harm her grandson Tyrone Dobbs if she didn’t leave him alone. At the same time, Cassie spotted Terry's boxes of cash which she nicked before opening the puppies cages.

When Terry returned upstairs, his rage continued and it was then that Cassie whacked him over the head with a pole and left him unconscious.
