Coronation Street spoilers as Bethany Platt's betrayal and reason for return finally revealed

Coronation Street has revealed what Bethany Platt is up to following her recent return to Weatherfiled. Actress Lucy Fallon reprised the role in the ITV soap over the New Year after more than three years away from the cobbles.

As soon as she stepped foot back into Weatherfield, Bethany caught the eye of former flame Daniel Osbourne and it wasn't long before they were finishing where they once left off. But it was Daniel's ex-fiancee Daisy Midegely who discovered what they were up to when she paid him to visit only to be welcomed by a towel-clad Bethany.

Bethany finally reunite with her mum before heading over the see the rest of the family - including grandmother Gail and uncle David. Gail decided they should celebrate Bethany being back from London and so headed for Speed Daal but froma cross the street, Daisy was horrified to realise that the girl she caught with Daniel was in fact Bethany.

Daisy has since been left heartbroken by Daniel as he rekindles his romance with Bethany but after a secret phonecall sparked viewers' interest earlier this month, what the returnee is up to is set to be revealed.

The ITV soap has confirmed that Bethany is struggling financially following a tough time when she was away in London – and she gets desperate to resolve the situation in next week's episodes.
