Coronation Street fans say 'don't tell me' as they predict fresh affair twist

Coronation Street fans think they have worked out the next affair to hit Weatherfield after the recent break-up of a long-standing relationship on the cobbles. As viewers of the ITV soap know, Tracy and Steve McDonald recently ended their marriage after Tracy's affair with Tommy Orpington was revealed.

While Steve was out the country visiting his daughter Emma Brooker, Tracy flirted up a storm with former footballer Tommy, who she'd hired in his new professional as a painter and decorator, before they ended up sleeping together. And their secret liaisons continued until Steve's best friend Tim Metcalfe discovered the truth.

Tim told Tracy that he knew about her affair with Tommy and that she had to tell Steve - or he would. But when she headed home with a feeling of dread, she was wrongfooted when Steve goes down on one knee and asks her if she’ll renew their vows. Tracy found herself agreeing and an excited Steve was quick to tell Tim the news, adding he’d like him to be his best man.

Tim was horrified and ended up breaking the news to Steve that Tracy is sleeping with Tommy - his footballing hero. Tim was apologetic as he explained to Steve how he climbed Gav’s ladder and saw Tracy and Tommy having sex. A devastated Steve then returned home to confront Tracy who told Steve she was sorry but when he suggested he'd forgive her, she wasn't interested and has since continued her romance with Tommy.
