Celtic amnesia merchants pedalling bonkers Brendan Rodgers myth deserve the incoming misery – Hotline

The post-mortem over Celtic's League Cup defeat at Kilmarnock was all about plastic pitches, VAR and there was even a call about a lack of motivation from Brendan Rodgers.

There was also a bit of conspiracy theory thrown into the mix. Donnie Dundas, Uddingston, said: "How dare a smaller team beat Rangers or destroy Celtic's possible treble? The deluded blame the referee, the pitch or VAR. What will the excuses be if Kilmarnock win at either of the Old Firm's home grounds?"

Robert McEwan, Mount Vernon, said: "Anyone who thinks Celtic's result was not a shock needs their head looked at. A team which just came off the back of a treble being beaten by any team in this league is a shock." Alan Flett, said: "It’s obvious there are problems at Celtic. The players who only went there for Ange Postecoglou clearly don’t want to play for Rodgers and their summer recruitment shows a total lack of ambition.
