Cardiff City came from behind to register a winning start to their campaign and to hand Brian Barry-Murphy his first taste of victory in the dugout thanks to a 2-1 win over Peterborough United.
The Bluebirds were handed a scare in the first half when Bradley Ihionvien put Posh ahead from the penalty spot, but stunning second-half strikes from academy products Rubin Colwill and Ronan Kpakio, his first senior goal, ensure the Bluebirds took all the spoils.

City fielded just one player over 23 in their starting XI, including a league debut for goalkeeper Turner, with teenagers Dylan Lawlor and Ronan Kpakio named in defence. Notable absentees from the matchday squad included goalkeeper Ethan Horvath and midfielder David Turnbull.
Cardiff started the game with a clearly-defined new playing style, playing through the lines, patiently, to get into attacking positions. Unfortunately, they were wasteful within 20 yards of the Posh goal.
Chances came and went for Rubin Colwill and Yousef Salech in the early stages, however the captain did go narrowly wide with a whipped 20-yard strike which whistled past the upright.
