Canada's Camryn Rogers wins hammer throw event at Lone Star Grand Prix, extending unbeaten streak
Canada's Camryn Rogers was victorious in women's hammer throw at the Lone Star Grand Prix in Texas on Saturday.
The reigning Olympic and world champion from Richmond, B.C., posted a winning throw in the third round of 79.36 metres at Texas A&M University in College Station.
Rachel Richeson of the United States was second at 79.33 metres ahead of China's Jie Zhao in third at 76.25.

Rogers was coming off a victory Wednesday at the Paavo Nurmi Games in Turku, Finland, where she surpassed the 80-metre mark for the third time this season. The 26-year-old hasn't lost a competition since June 3, 2025.
The Lone Star Grand Prix is one of two World Athletics Continental Tour Gold meets in the U.S. this season alongside the Los Angeles Grand Prix on June 14.
In other Canadian results, sprint star Andre De Grasse finished second in the men's 100m behind American Trayvon Bromell, who beat the Markham, Ont., native by 0.06 seconds with a time of 9.85.
Reigning world champion Oblique Seville of Jamaica finished just after De Grasse for third place 9.91.

Audrey Leduc of Gatineau, Que., took second place in the women's 100 with a time of 10.97, 0.05 seconds behind Jamaican Sabrina Dockery. The Canadian record holder edged Jamaica's Jodean Williams at the finish line.

Toronto's Aaron Brown placed third in the men's 200m after clocking 20.11.
Paris Olympics finallist Makanakaishe Charamba of Zimbabwe took the race in 19.88 ahead of American Tate Taylor (19.97).
