Callum O'Hare transfer link emerges as club ready to pay 'top money' for Coventry City star

Coventry City star Callum O’Hare is said to be a transfer target for Burnley.

The Clarets are preparing for life back in the Championship, following relegation from the Premier League at the end of last season. And they have a new man in the dugout in former Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany.

Kompany is said to be lining up an audacious move for O'Hare as he attempts to build a squad capable of challenging for promotion back to the top flight.

The Sun report Burnley are 'keen' on the 24-year-old former Aston Villa man, who has been a key figure for Sky Blues during the last three seasons, and could make a formal move if they sell Dwight McNeil.

Kompany is said to be 'willing to offer top money' to O’Hare in a bid to attract him to Turf Moor.

O'Hare has previously said he will not be leaving Coventry this summer.

"Yeah, of course," was his response when asked if he will still be a Coventry City player next season.

"Obviously I love it at Cov, you know, and I've had a great year. The fans have been unbelievable."
