Brendan Rodgers told Celtic rage will vanish as Hotline lifer shares wildcard transfer tip to shake up Premiership

Brassed-off Brendan Rodgers read the riot act to his Celtic stars to spark a second-half salvage job in Sunday’s 3-1 win at St Johnstone. And Hotline callers reckon the writing has been on the wall for too many underperforming Hoops stars in recent weeks.

Denis Bruce, Bishopbriggs, said: “Brendan Rodgers was quite right to go ballistic with his players at half-time in Perth. A league title does not fall into your lap just because you wear a Celtic jersey. The players have to realise that every point has to be earned by fighting hard for the duration of every minute of every game. Celtic supporters will hope the penny has finally dropped.”

Kenny Wilson, Moffat, said: “That’s as bad a 45 minutes as I’ve seen from Celtic in years and Rodgers obviously gave them a roasting at half time as it was a different team they came out in the second half.
