BREAKING: Major road taped off by police with CSI on scene - latest updates
A main road in south Manchester is taped off by police this morning after a serious incident.
Kingsway - the A34 - is currently closed off in both directions between Parrs Wood Lane and Queensway. Police are on the scene this morning.
Crime scene investigators have also reportedly been spotted on the scene within the large cordon. Officers urged people to stay away from the area, with drivers urged to take a different route through the morning rush-hour.

At around 4.30am, a post on the Greater Manchester Police Facebook page said: "Due to an ongoing incident, Kingsway (A34) is closed in both directions from the junction of Parrs Wood Lane to Queensway to ensure officers can respond safely. This is likely to impact travel for several hours, including into rush hour.
"East Didsbury Metrolink stop remains open. Those who usually travel in these directions should look for alternative routes and allow extra time for your journey.
"Thank you for your patience, we will provide an update in due course."
