Braun Strowman: 10 things you didn't know about the ex-WWE Universal Champion

Braun Strowman recently made a huge return to WWE, re-establishing himself as one of the most dominant superstars in the company.

Strowman’s first WWE run followed a successful career as a Strongman, and was as a member of the Wyatt family. After breaking out on his own in 2016, he was responsible for some of the most stunning feats of strenght in WWE history. He also captured the Universal, Intercontinental and Tag Titles.

HIs release last year came as a shock but Strowman didn’t leave the industry, instead creating the Control Your Narrative promotion as well as competing briefly in Ring of Honor. His recent WWE return came as a result of Triple H‘s ascension to Head of Creative and will likely see him featured heavily on WWE TV.

The real-life Adam Scherr had sports in his blood, with his father Rick “Crusher” Scherr being one of the greatest softball players of all time. He is in the Hall of Fame and holds several World Series records, including most home runs with 101.

Strowman’s freakish strength saw him make his Strongman competition debut in September 2009. Within two years, he was handed a professional card, making him the fastest competitor to do so.

The one-time legit World’s Strongest Man, Mark Henry, saw Strowman at a Strongman event and eventually introduced him to Vince McMahon.

While training in the WWE Performance Centre, Strowman appeared on Raw as one of Adam Rose’s “Rosebuds” in 2014.
