Bojan Miovski transfer suitors have Aberdeen FC hurdle to jump as Barry Robson takes defiant exit talk stance

Barry Robson has warned circling predators for top scorer Bojan Miovski and the rest of his Pittodrie stars that Aberdeen don’t need to sell.

There is growing interest in their North Macedonian striker and several other players but their manager has stated the Dons are in a good place financially after their European run and don’t have to cash-in on any of their prize assets next month. The Aberdeen model is to sell players every season but the fact that they sold Ylber Ramadani and Ross McCrorie in the summer means they are not under any pressure financially and will only sell if a club meets their valuations.

Robson stated: “The one message I can put out there is that this club doesn’t need to sell. “The club is run so well by Dave Cormack (chairman) and the board. “Financially, it is in a great place. “We never over-spend and we don’t need to as a club. “If somebody comes in for one of our players then they will have to pay the right price. “The club is in a healthy position. “We just need to wait and see but, for me, any of our good players we want to keep them here for as long as possible. “That is why we signed them.”

The likes of Southampton have a strong interest in Miovski, due to Aberdeen’s former head of recruitment Darren Mowbray now being at St Mary’s. There is also strong interest in him from Germany, Italy and England. Robson unfazed because he knows it will take a substantial offer to get his striker out of Pittodrie.
