Every player linked with Celtic in the January transfer window so far including Scott McKenna and Bojan Miovski
Quality is the name of the game in January for Brendan Rodgers.
The Celtic boss may have been lamenting missing out on Declan Rice during his first Parkheadstint. But Hoops fans are more concerned with the here and now, specifically how he's going to strengthen his first XI after the summer window left a lot to be desired. Padding the numbers won't do, and even though he unexpectedly has Kyogo available for the whole month, a new forward remains a priority and must be first team ready.
There's also improvements to be made at the back. A mini defensive crisis earlier in the season saw Liam Scales come to the fore. But with Cameron Carter-Vickers picking up one or two injuries and Nat Phillips back to Liverpool after his loan spell ended. The champions are reportedly leading the race for Scott McKenna, although could face competition from the blue half of Glasgow.
It's up front that the headlines could be made, however. Bojan Miovski may prove too expensive; not that Celtic don't have the money, but Aberdeen will demand a hefty fee for a player who won't necessarily start every week with Kyogo fit. Mathias Kvistgaarden is one that keeps resurfacing, although much will depend on Brondby's asking price.
Nicholas Kuhn is an intriguing one. And Sydney van Hooijdonk has a hint of romance about it given who his dad is. Record Sport has a complete list every player linked with the Parkhead club so far.
