Bojan Miovski closes Aberdeen FC transfer exit door as Celtic and Southampton swirls receive firm response

In-demand Bojan Miovski has handed Aberdeen a huge boost by insisting he's in no rush to leave Pittodrie.

The Dons striker has netted 15 goals this season including four in Europe and has been attracting plenty of interest. Celtic have been linked with a move for the North Macedonian international while Southampton are also monitoring the frontman alongside clubs in Serie A and the Bundesliga. But the 24-year-old has stressed he is happy with Barry Robson's side and insisted he won't let the speculation get to him – with Aberdeen looking for upwards of £5million to consider a sale.

Miovski returned to his home town of Stip to present an Aberdeen jersey to his first club Bregalnica, where he played his formative years before securing a move to MTK Budapest. And he was quizzed about whether he would leave Aberdeen during this transfer window. Miovski said: "I am on holiday here until Sunday and it's always nice when I get to spend some time at home because in the last five years, I was never at home for these holidays as I always had responsibilities with football.

"I still have two and a half years of contract with Aberdeen and to be honest I feel great. Everything that is speculated and written about me is normal because when you show good form and score goals you are always watched by bigger clubs.

"I have been in Aberdeen for a year and a half and I am very satisfied and I also hope that the people in Aberdeen are happy with me too. So far, I have scored 33 goals for the club."
