Best pals with Hojlund and 'destined for the top' - the £40million superstar Manchester United would be getting
When Rasmus Hojlund returned to his club after netting five goals for Denmark across back to back matches against Finland, Giorgio Scalvini told him not to let it go to his head.
The pair were team-mates at Italian side Atalanta, two of the club's bright young talents at a club renowned for bringing through youth. Hojlund, of course, departed for Manchester United last summer in a £72million deal.
Scalvini could potentially follow him with the young defender being linked with a move to Old Trafford as an early signing of the new Ineos and Sir Jim Ratcliffe era. He's one of Europe's most talked about talents with United the latest in a line of continental heavyweights being touted as potential suitors. Inter Milan, Atletico Madrid, Liverpool and Bayern Munich have all been mooted with a fee of £44million the reported asking price.

“I’m perfectly happy at Atalanta," said Scalvini in an interview in April when asked about thee speculation. "I’ve never listened to much, and in any case it has never shaken me much, so I don’t see any worrying signs. Maybe there will come a day that I will have to think about it, but it can only happen if I do well in the present.”
Scalvini is an unassuming and unflappable character. Strong and versatile, he is capable of playing on the right of a four or three man defence as well as in defensive midfield.
