Becky Lynch & Cody Rhodes: Big updates on WWE stars' return from injury

Becky Lynch is set to return to TV by the WWE Royal Rumble, while Cody Rhodes is expected to miss out on the show.

WWE has started selling tickets for the Royal Rumble in January 2023, and the poster for the show has potentially revealed who will and won’t be in attendance.

Fortunately for WWE fans, Becky is pictured heavily on the poster, so she’s clearly expected to be fit and be able return by the show.

Becky hasn’t been seen on WWE TV since August 1, when she was written off TV by Bayley after separating her shoulder at SummerSlam two nights prior.

The injury is 100% legitimate, and while Lynch didn’t need surgery, initial rumours suggested she’d be unlikely to wrestle again in 2022.

Keeping up with that timeline, WWE seems to think that ‘The Man’ will be back by the Royal Rumble, as you can see from the poster below.

Of course, Becky could face a setback in her return from injury, so being at the big show on January 28 could change, but the fact she’s being advertised is definitely good news.

Fans have even speculated that if Bayley wins the Raw Women’s Championship between now and then that Becky could win the Royal Rumble to earn a title match against her former ally at WrestleMania 39.

While Becky is slated to be back by the Royal Rumble following her injury this summer, the status of Cody Rhodes is rather unclear.

The former AEW star tore his pec completely off the bone before Hell in a Cell in June, and was immediately taken off TV, with it again being speculated that he wouldn’t be back until 2023.

However, unlikely Lynch, Cody is not featured on the poster for the Royal Rumble, so it’s unlikely that fans going into the show are going to know if he’s going to show up or not.
