BBC Breakfast's Naga Munchetty tells co-star to 'try harder' in cheeky swipe

BBC Breakfast's Naga Munchetty couldn't resist a playful dig towards her co-presenter suggesting she ought to "try harder".

Returning to Saturday's episode (September 14) on the iconic red sofa, Naga was accompanied by co-presenter Ben Thompson. The lively banter kicked off as they welcomed weather presenter Sarah Keith-Lucas.

Commenting on the recent weather forecasts, straight-talking Naga was unhappy with the lack of sunny weather and inconsistent weather. She said: "It's been a while Sarah that I haven't whined at our forecasters and I'm not whining at you today."

Shortly into the broadcast, Naga couldnt resist playfully teasing her co-host Charlie, aged 62, who seemed visibly uncomfortable with a particular part of the show where they were in conversation with correspondent Hywel Griffith about flying pests in Wales.

Naga mentioned: "Residents of a village in South Wales say they've been inundated by a mysterious swarm of flies."
