Aston Villa midfielder's brilliant reaction caught on camera after John McGinn Instagram prank

Footballers are widely renowned for indulging in a few dressing room pranks and unfortunately for Aston Villa's Jacob Ramsey he was the victim of John McGinn's scare tactics.

The midfielder was lurking behind a door to give his team-mate a hair-raising welcome as he entered the club's training ground at Bodymoor Heath.

And it certainly had the desired effect as Ramsey was given a major fright having jumped out of his skin, much to the delight of the hiding McGinn.

It was all caught on camera, which showed Villa are in good spirits despite their last two results.

McGinn uploaded the scare to Instagram with the caption "U OK mate" followed by a laughing emoji.

Responding to the prank, one fan said: "Ha, I'd prob jump out of my skin.

Steven Gerrard's side are currently preparing to face Watford this weekend as they look to bounce back from their defeat to Newcastle last Sunday.
