Aston Villa fans fume at Steven Gerrard after Watford defeat

Aston Villa supporters are far from happy with head coach Steven Gerrard after the 1-0 defeat to Watford at Villa Park.

After a goalless first half when Emi Martinez pulled off a superb save to deny Watford forward Emmanuel Dennis, the Nigeria international would not be denied in the second when nodding in the winner for Roy Hodgson 's side 12 minutes from time.

Gerrard has been questioned in the immediate aftermath after winning just one of the last seven outings in all competitions.

Here is a selection of the social media reaction from Villa fans after that result against the Premier League strugglers.

Absolute garbage the last few games. What was Young doing?

Another loss. This decision to throw everything on Gerrard looks like a disaster from Purslow. This is incompetent.

I’m sorry but these players have absolutely everything to answer for here. What on earth have they given us in the last three games they’ve been nothing short of abysmal apart from a few cameos from Buendia, PC and JJ. Fans and club deserve much more than this.

Gerrard has to start being questioned soon...
