'As always' - Man City star Jack Grealish sends message to Manchester United's Harry Maguire

Manchester City winger Jack Grealish praised England teammate Harry Maguire after he helped the Three Lions secure qualification for next summer's European Championship with Tuesday night's 3-1 win over Italy at Wembley.

After finding themselves 1-0 down inside the opening quarter of an hour, England came roaring back to secure their place in Germany next summer, thanks to two goals from Harry Kane and a brilliant strike from Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford. Jude Bellingham was the star of the show, however, producing a masterful display in midfield.

England are now guaranteed top spot in Group C, meaning boss Gareth Southgate can start planning for next summer, even though his side still have two qualifiers remaining. The Three Lions have won five of their opening six matches, drawing one.

Though he has struggled for regular opportunities at United over the past 12 months or so, Maguire has been central to England's qualifying campaign, starting each of their six group matches, helping them keep three clean sheets in the process. He remains a valued member of the squad by Southgate.

Despite being unable to help England add another shutout to their collection against Italy, however, Maguire produced another solid and professional showing, fully justifying why he continues to be selected by Southgate. He was good on the ball and defended well, helping the Three Lions restrict the visitors to very few meaningful opportunities.
