Manchester United fans make the same David Beckham documentary point after Harry Kane wonder goal

Harry Kane has channelled his inner David Beckham with a wonder goal for Bayern Munich.

The 30-year-old England captain and former Manchester United target continued his fine start to life in Bavaria by scoring a devastating hat-trick on Saturday afternoon. Bayern were 8-0 winners against Darmstadt 98 in a meeting which threw up countless headlines and flashpoints.

Joshua Kimmich was sent-off for Bayern in the fourth minute and Darmstadt also had two players dismissed. Kane then helped himself to another three goals - taking his staggering tally this season to 14 goals from 13 appearances in all competitions - with Leroy Sane and Jamal Musiala at the double.

Germany veteran Thomas Muller was the other Bayern goalscorer. Quite astonishingly, all eight goals were netted in the second half by Bayern at their famous Allianz Arene stadium.

From the outside looking in, that marked business as usual for the Bundesliga champions. However, the game was marked by a distinctly Beckham-esque moment from the current England captain when Kane, with his second goal of the match, netted from the halfway line - sending the crowd into uproar.

United great Beckham famously lobbed Wimbledon goalkeeper Neil Sullivan from his own half in 1996 and, almost three decades later, Kane drew inspiration from the iconic former midfielder with a similar goal of his own. That has been the talk of social media on Saturday afternoon.
