Anthony Martial 'considering Manchester United future' and more transfer rumours

Anthony Martial is considering his options with the striker not wanting to play a supporting role at Manchester United, according to reports.

The £72million signing of Rasmus Hojlund over the summer saw Martial drop back into the role of support act at United, having failed to impress Erik ten Hag with a consistent run of games. The Frenchman was handed a chance to start early in the season, with Hojlund injured, but was largely ineffective.

His current contract is set to expire next summer, although United have an option to extend that by a further 12 months. However, Football Insider reports that the 27-year-old could leave in search of more regular football elsewhere.

The report states that Martial is keen to become a regular first-choice again, which is unlikely to be at Old Trafford. United are looking to strengthen their attacking unit in the future, which could limit the former Monaco man's minutes further.

Elsewhere, ESPN reports that United are set to trigger the year-long contract extensions of Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Victor Lindelof.

As with Martial, both players' deals are set to expire next summer but as has become common at United, the club have an option to trigger an extension. There is uncertainty around Martial's future but Ten Hag is keen to keep both Lindelof and Wan-Bissaka on the books.
