Jadon Sancho 'reaffirms Manchester United stance' and other transfer rumours

Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho is reportedly committed to leaving the club in January after falling out with manager Erik ten Hag.

At the beginning of September, Sancho called out Ten Hag following the Reds' defeat to Arsenal. The boss claimed in his post-match press conference that Sancho had not been performing well enough in training and so had been dropped from the squad for the trip to the Emirates.

The 23-year-old accused Ten Hag of lying in a social media post that has since been deleted. MEN Sport reported shortly after the incident that Sancho was open to the idea of leaving the club if he remained out in the cold, and Sky Sports Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg has now claimed Sancho is committed to leaving in January.

It is believed the forward wants a fresh start and a move away from England is his preferred choice. His options are thought to be limited at this stage. A switch to Barcelona or Borussia Dortmund is deemed 'unlikely' but Juventus are said to be keen on a loan move.

Elsewhere, TEAMtalk understands United have a fight on their hands to sign promising Benfica midfielder Joao Neves. The 19-year-old has been linked with a move to Old Trafford in recent weeks with many billing him as the long-term replacement for Casemiro.

Neves is currently represented by Jorge Mendes' agency Gestifute. Saudi Pro League clubs are reportedly interested in Neves. Any departure from Benfica will come at a huge cost with the youngster contracted to the club until 2028.
