Ange rewards his ultimate Spurs champion with key coaching role as Tottenham reveal Team Postecoglou in full

Ange Postecoglou has assembled his Tottenham Hotspur backroom staff and there's a familiar lieutenant by the Aussie's side.

The former Celtic boss left Glasgow with no members of his Hoops coaching staff, having brought Socceroos hero Harry Kewell into the fold at Lennoxtown. He arrived solo from Yokohama Marinos and embedded the culture of his style in to existing Parkhead servants John Kennedy and Gavin Strachan. Both of which he reportedly wanted to join him on his London adventure, but returning coach Brendan Rodgers wanted assistant Kennedy as part of his Glasgow renaissance.

Down south, Postecoglou was handed Rodgers' former right-hand man in Chris Davies, who has been confirmed as senior assistant coach in the Aussie's new set-up. And similar to his appointment of Kewell in Scotland, Postecoglou has relied on his Aussie links to bring former Crystal Palace skipper Mile Jedinak to Spurs. He was also captain of his national side during Postecoglou's stint.

Jedinak becomes assistant coach after plying his trade as a youth and loan development coach at Aston Villa. The 38-year-old previous backed Postecoglou for a big job down south while at the Hoops. He told Talksport: "I think he has the capability to go and do it. Look at the size of the club he's at [Celtic]. It's an institution. I get the Premier League is huge and the calibre of opposition on a weekly basis is exponentially different.

"But he's getting a great insight in to what its like at a huge football club. Can he go and do it? [Premier League] I wouldn't hesitate to say yes."

Work begins for Postecoglou and co slightly earlier than planned, as the 57-year-old seems to be taking his 'never stop' mantra to England's capital already by having his squad
